Hot Rod Power Tour 2012: Day Five, Miami, OK

Wow is a good way to say how today went. There was no MoPowered Tour stops, just a mad dash to Miami, Oklahoma. With the construction in St. Louis, most of the group went ahead and did an alternative route. But some did come to the Do-Nut morning stop. And it was great! The donuts were fresh, the two girls behind the counter were extremely nice and friendly. I highly recommend it for anyone on Route 66 or in St. Louis!

The group traveled down Route 66 for a while until we caught up with the actual Power Tour directions. We just ran the directions basically to the letter, only stopping for gas and anti-crazy times…. like driving 3 hours on a highway with a group of awesome Mopars behind you.

At every gas stop more and more Mopars joined in. We even had a nice family join in from the beginning. This was the frist time going on a part of the Tour. I hope they had fun, as they kept rotating out of my car and the a/c! Which was great, cause talking to myself was getting old.

Pulling into Miami was not fun, but not unexpected. It was a long line, but once you got in it was easy to navigate and get everywhere you needed. We all got what we needed signed and stamped and got our magnets. Then we hit the show. It was a good size show, but it was not a great venue. Atleast i finally cornered Freiburger and got some questions I needed answered. More on that in the future!

Our little group sat and watched the cars drive out of there until the Sun was going down. Some had actually had dinner, came back out and we hadn’t moved. It was alot of fun, but we still had to eat and do some blogging. So we all headed out. I got dinner at the Waylan KuKu Drive in, which was good. Then got to my hotel room, uploaded my pictures, wrote this blog and chilled outside BSing with everyone for a while. AND I was doing it while the pictures uploaded.
