Hot Rod Power Tour 2012: Day Nine, The Voyage Home…ish
The last day. Those words echoed this morning. After a short jump to Monster Mopar in Gateway Raceway Park, it would be home. But the day had just started!
Right as I got in, I parked and got to work shooting the cars there. It was hot, but there was a breeze, so not terrible. I was fortunate enough to find my friend Rob and hop a golf cart to quickly shoot the cars!
Even walked the rows of parts and project cars… even though I had no cash!
Right after this though I was invited by the local Modern Mopar group to go around the track with them. Who am I to say no to that?
After my laps were done, my friend Rob and his 1971 Dodge Challenger Pace Car tribute lead the two Petty Blue cars around the track, along with some other groups. Watch Mopar Collectors Guide for more photos and videos!
After that though, I had to get going. I gave my pictures to Rob Wolf of MCG. Said goodbye to my friends and headed home. And for 6 hours all I could think about was the incredible adventure I had with such good people. This was an awesome Hot Rod Power Tour, sure there was things that could have been better, but it could have been much worse. Overall I had a blast, and I hope everyone else did as well. There will be a MoPowered Tour next year, so keep watching!
Until next time my friends, where we can all travel together on an adventure. Until then, Carpe Diem and be safe out there!
